Clackamas debates tuition raise for summer

There is a good news and bad news. The bad news is that tuition is possibly going to increase in the next year. The good news is that it won’t be by much.

Clackamas Community College is debating a $2 increase in tuition and an additional $1 fee increase for the 2010-11 year. This will come to a maximum increase of $30 extra per term for students taking 15 to 18 credits.

Lady Cougars ready for battle

After going 21-4, the Cougars were able to secure the Southern Region title against Umpqua on Feb. 26 in an overtime game which the Cougs handled winning 88-77.  It was one of three games they played over the course of last week they needed in order to ensure their spot at the top.

Spooky play captivates audience

“The Haunting of Grayson Manor” is a ghost story that gave me shivers and kept me intrigued. There were also pleasant moments of humor interspersed throughout the play, helping to keep it light and enjoyable. It had both murder and mystery. Beyond the story itself, it also featured good acting and an amazing set. Overall, I feel pretty good about the “The Haunting of Grayson Manor.”

Cougar men attack NWAACC tourney

Madness is about to begin.It’s March, and the Clackamas Cougars men’s basketball team is headed back to the NWAACC Championship Tournament in Kennewick, Wash, after finishing second in the Southern Region, marking an astounding eleventh straight appearance in the tournament for the Cougars.

Zetaman has taken on the responsibility of defending Portland’s homeless population from the frigid nights and hunger. Armed with blankets, socks and food, he travels around Portland by night and provides those men and women with the necessities to make it through another night.
