International students tend to have a harder time making friends because of cultural shock, language barriers and students being too busy to make conversation with them.

In an e-mail interview with two international students, we discussed how they feel, their dreams, lives and more. Hyun-Soo Choi is a young man from South Korea and Wei-Hua (Xavier) Lin is from Taiwan. Please note that these answers are based on campus life and educational experiences.

What has been a cultural shock for you?

Choi: When I saw a woman who wore a bikini while cutting the grass. I also heard American people put sugar on their rice.
